What's new from the lottery world? The latest draw of the popular Lotto 6 out of 49 lottery took place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. The jackpot had grown to an impressive 4 million euros, and the winning numbers were: 9, 11, 13, 30, 41, 46. The super number that ensures an additional win was 35. Fans of the game can look forward to it, because the draws take place not only on Wednesdays, but also on Saturdays, at 6:25 p.m. and 7:25 p.m. respectively. You can watch live on the lotto.de website as well as on the Lotto YouTube channel. The Fuldaer Zeitung points out that the first public drawing took place on October 9, 1955 in Hamburg.
Did you know that the super number has been introduced since June 17, 1956? This made the game even more exciting and increased the chances of winning. A lot has changed over the years, so there is now a winnings cap of 500,000 D-Marks from 1956, and the draws have been taking place in the former Saarländischer Rundfunk dubbing studio in Saarbrücken since 2013. By the way, the maximum jackpot for Lotto 6 out of 49 can rise to an incredible 50 million euros, while the Eurojackpot even has an upper limit of 120 million euros. A little note for all players: Since November 1, 2023, the maximum jackpots will only be paid out if prize category 1 is reached - i.e. if you match 6 numbers plus the super number.
