Last Friday, October 31, 2025, the Chawwerusch Theater made the audience shine with its dernière of the play “Maria hilf” in the auditorium of the Von der Leyen High School in Blieskastel. The theater evening, organized by the Saarpfalz-Kreis adult education center, was celebrated by the audience with shouts of Bravo and standing ovations. This reaction impressively shows how much the play, which is deeply rooted in current social issues, touched the hearts of the audience.

“Maria hilf” urgently addresses the nursing shortage and the coexistence of three women: a mother in need of care, her overwhelmed daughter and a Polish carer. The mix of serious and comical moments makes for an authentic portrayal inspired by real interviews. Felix S. The piece deals vividly with the issue of 24-hour nursing staff from Eastern Europe, which is particularly important today.

On the occasion of the seventh nationwide Demographic Week in Rhineland-Palatinate, particular attention was paid to this topic. To this end, the theater emphasizes the need to address the needs of older people and enable them to live independently by 2025.
