On Friday, October 31st, St. Wendel's city center will be transformed into a scene of horror. The great Halloween celebration begins at 5 p.m., which for many is a long-awaited highlight in the annual calendar. With an enthusiastic call, Volker Schmidt, spokesman for the city administration, invites all citizens to join this gruesome spectacle. The atmosphere will be filled with clouds of mist, eerie laughter and the sound of shuffling footsteps.
Visitors can look forward to a gruesome journey into the world of the undead, as the city center becomes the “gate to hell”! Numerous dark figures, monsters and bizarre creatures are not only an eye-catcher, but also an essential part of this spooky celebration. The pedestrian zone comes alive thanks to the many costumed people and provides a unique experience. True to the motto “Frankenstein’s Empire”, witches, zombies, vampires and ghosts come to the streets.
