IF Stjernen Flensborg celebrates an impressive 6-0 home win!
The audience experienced a real football festival evening on August 9, 2025 in the Flensburg Stadium, when IF Stjernen Flensborg triumphed with a clear 6-0 win in the duel against SG Eckernförde/Fleckeby. The team was in top form on their home turf and secured their first win of the season. Having previously suffered a draw and a defeat in the league, they now climb to sixth place in the table with a total of four points, while the visitors remain in a sobering last place, having not picked up a point from their first three games.
The game started promisingly for the guests from Eckernförde, but IF Stjernen's goalkeeper Moritz Walter had something against it. He used a strong reflex to avoid falling behind. After a few minutes the tide turned and Denny Pawlowski gave his team the lead in the 16th minute. This opening action was the starting signal for a real fireworks display of goals: Leo Kratz (20th), Pawlowski again (22nd) and Kim Nitschke (37th) increased the score to 4-0 by half time. The spectators, despite the rather sparse crowd of 70 fans, were able to enjoy an impressive game.
A successful team performance
Coach Sandro Holland was visibly satisfied after the game, praised the implementation of his players' tactical instructions, but also made it clear that there was still room for improvement to further improve performance. “We are on the right track, but we can definitely score more goals,” said Holland. The players didn't let up in the second half and increased the final score to 6-0 with goals from Nitschke (65th) and Ian Biek (76th). Moritz Kasten in goal was also not unknown to spectators: he also saved another chance from the guests, who barely managed to score.
All players in the IF Stjernen Flensborg team played and showed an overall strong performance. The next challenges are just around the corner: Next Sunday they will host the second-placed team, SV Blau-Weiß Löwenstedt, while SG Eckernförde will play against Barkelsbyer SV on Saturday. Coach Mario Benjamin Müller's team will have to do everything they can to score their first points and get out of the current league table.
The current table reflects the different moods in the league well:
| Place | team | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | SV Blau-Weiß Löwenstedt | 12 |
| 6 | IF Stjernen Flensborg | 4 |
| 12 | SG Eckernförde/Fleckeby | 0 |
