Important changes for Flensburg residents: Bus lines 2 and 3 stopped from November 5th!

In Flensburg there will be big changes for bus lines 2 and 3 from November 5, 2025. Due to extensive construction work on Am Katharinenhof street, the route of the two lines will be significantly shortened. These measures are long-term and should last for a period of three years. Many schoolchildren who rely on bus services are particularly affected during this time. The Technical operations center (TBZ) has announced that it will provide ongoing information about the exact times of the full closures and restrictions.

According to the new regulations, bus lines 2 and 3 will no longer be able to reach their previous final stops. Instead, they start and end at the B200 slip road heading north. To ensure smooth traffic, a roundabout will be set up where buses can turn around. A new replacement stop will be set up at the Katharinenhof roundabout, where passengers will be able to get on and off in the future.

Alternative connections

For passengers traveling in the direction of ZOB (central bus station), the new plan provides for line 2 to go to Wassersleben Kurhaus on the B200 to the Duburg exit. Then we go to the alternative stop at the roundabout, where the buses turn around and continue on their way to the central bus station. These changes not only mean a change for the bus drivers, but also for the numerous children and their families who rely on the usual connections every day.

To ensure that residents are well informed, the TBZ will provide regular updates on construction progress and further adaptation measures. Citizens are invited to keep abreast of current developments in order to minimize possible inconveniences during this phase. Flensburg is facing an exciting but also challenging time.
