Innovations for Ostholstein's companies: Ask the campus on October 9th!

The development company Ostholstein mbH (EGOH) brings a breath of fresh air into the corporate landscape: With the new event series “Ask the…” they want to offer practical support for companies in Ostholstein. The series starts with the first part, which will take place as an online seminar on October 9th. Here, both young start-ups and established companies can look forward to exciting insights into how they can benefit from collaboration with the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck (HIC Lübeck). Inger Struve, innovation and transfer manager at Lübeck University of Technology, will give a short lecture, followed by a question and answer session with Holger Fischer, head of the technology transfer department at the University of Lübeck.

Participation in the event is free of charge and anyone who is curious can register at www.egoh.de/de/termine-und- events register. This makes it clear: There is great potential here for companies that want to bring a breath of fresh air into their projects.

Implement innovations practically

Another highlight in the series is the workshop “Simply simplify processes”, which will take place on December 4th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Oldenburg i.H. commercial center. takes place. The focus is on the efficient design of process flows, whereby companies learn how to analyze and optimize existing processes. A real added value for those who want to improve their processes and make them more efficient.

Behind the scenes at HIC Lübeck is a comprehensive project that is supported by the initiation of the joint project “Hansebelt Innovation Matrix Lübeck” (HI Lübeck). The Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, the University of Lübeck and numerous partners such as Fraunhofer IMTE and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) are working together to develop this innovation engine for the Hansebelt region. As part of the BMBF “Innovative University” program, the aim is to achieve sustainable knowledge transfer between science and business.

A strong network

With funding of up to 550 million euros until 2027, the “Innovative University” initiative is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized universities and technical colleges. The aim is to translate research results into creative solutions for social challenges and to strengthen regional innovative strength. Value is placed on exchanges with companies, culture and society in order to create a win-win situation for everyone involved.

The project has a clear focus on four central themes: energy/smart city, nutrition/bioeconomy, production of the future and intelligent health. These fields promise not only innovative solutions, but also profound collaborations between science and business. The initiators expect that innovative transfer formats will be developed that facilitate access to technologies and offer educational innovations for both students and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The large number of partners, including regional contact points and industry associations, ensures that a wide variety of perspectives and specialist knowledge are bundled. Any company that is interested in innovative collaborations has come to the right place.

Interested companies should take the opportunity to attend these exciting EGOH events. After all, there is often more to collaboration than you think - sometimes all you need is the right impulse!
