Eckernförde starts fundraising campaign: local shopping for family support!

In Eckernförde there is a big focus on community in November! The new fundraising campaign “Eck.fördern” has set out not only to support local businesses, but also to do good for the city’s family center. Inspired by a successful campaign during the corona pandemic, Niels Nielsen from Yachtsport Eckernförde brought this idea to life. From **1. From November** until the end of the month, all companies and shops in Eckernförde are called upon to take part in the campaign with individual donations and at the same time increase sales on the often low-sales days of November. KN Online report on this initiative.

The concept is simple and flexible: participating companies can decide whether they donate a percentage of each revenue, contribute a fixed amount or even collect donations directly in their stores by setting up donation boxes. Eckernförde Touristik und Marketing GmbH (ETMG) and the Eckernförde Economic Circle (WKE) are there to support us and will hand over the collected donations to the family center at the beginning of December.

A support for everyone

The campaign appeals to the entire population, regardless of social or ethnic background. The Family Center provides essential services, including homework assistance and learning camps, that are valuable to many area families. It lives on donations and grants; Since 2013, the GWU Eckernförde has also been providing rooms free of charge. The goal is clear: community support for children and families in need of help so that they can be integrated into society in the best possible way. This also includes enabling them to eat as healthily as possible, for example through local breakfast clubs, which are supported by Lebensbrücke.

By participating in “Eck.fördern”, businesses can not only strengthen their own image, but also contribute to social interaction - a win-win situation for everyone involved! The WKE hopes that this campaign will be a new incentive for customers to flock to local stores in November.

Just join in

Entrepreneurs and business people who would like to take part in this campaign can easily fill out a participation form on the ETMG homepage. No special requirements are necessary; Participation is open to all traders. Posters are provided that point out your own contribution and are intended to actively involve customers in the fundraising campaign.

The “Eck.fördern” campaign not only offers a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses, but also to make a positive contribution to families and children together with the community. In this way, the Eckernförder people could not only do good business when shopping, but also by doing good locally!
