Big art festival: catalog presentation for the 80th anniversary!

Things are now going well in Steinburg, because the eagerly awaited catalog presentation will take place in the Prinzeßhof District Museum on November 8, 2025 at 2 p.m. The occasion is the 80th anniversary of the Steinburg Artists' Association, and the event is entitled "80 Years of the Steinburg Artists' Association - In Dialogue with Works of Art from the Prinzeßhof District Museum". Insights into current artistic work are offered and the creative dialogue with selected works of art from the museum is presented. How Steinburg reports, many artists are on site to talk about their inspirations and the process of creating their works.

The catalog itself was financed through generous support. The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of the State of Schleswig-Holstein, the Sparkassenstiftung Schleswig-Holstein and the Friends of the Prinzeßhof District Museum have contributed their part. Data collections and contributions promise interesting aspects about the art scene in Steinburg.

Celebration of art

The celebrations begin on Saturday, November 8th at 1 p.m. in the Hablik Lounge with the opening of a new exhibition that includes works by artists Karin Weißenbacher and Anne Bock. This will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition “In Dialogue” in the Prinzeßhof District Museum, which will certainly appeal to many art lovers. The ticket prices are extremely fair at 5.50 euros per person and 4.00 euros reduced. If you are interested, you should register quickly - either by email to prinzesshof[at]steinburg.de or by phone at 04821/1788099.

But there is news not only in Steinburg. Tragic events have also cast their shadows: On August 2, 2023, Kehlani Amor Gumm was stillborn. The survivors - including mother Harley Nicole Gregory and father Caden Isaac Gumm - have been working with the family to make funeral arrangements. These will be announced soon. The WARE FUNERAL HOME acts as the responsible institution Everloved reported. With the loss of a newborn, the solidarity of the community is put to the test. There is great sympathy from those around us and it remains to be hoped that the family will find the support they need during this difficult time.

Although Steinburg and the art community are looking forward to the catalog presentation, it is important not to lose sight of the group of mourners. The balance between joy and sadness is often fleeting, but it is the shared experiences and togetherness that make our community strong.
