While the event was originally only supposed to take place every two years, the city administration has now decided to hold the citizens' day annually. Loud Schwäbische.de The concept of a realignment was initiated in order to make the event more diverse and attractive while maintaining the celebratory character. A good hand is required here!

Set modern accents

The redesigned program is intended to involve citizens even more closely. Instead of the traditional honors, a keynote speech or a speaker's speech will also be part of the program in the future. But don't worry, honors from deserving citizens, a standing reception and presentations from various clubs will not be left behind. There is still room for exchange and a party mood, emphasizes the city of Biberach on its website biberach-riss.de.

The revision of the Citizens' Day is not only a response to the need for topicality, but also a step towards future viability. The goal is clear: to offer a platform for citizens’ civic engagement. The concept was already received positively in the main committee before the summer break, which shows that those responsible want to get to work with a breath of fresh air.

Biberach in the sense of the committed city

This focus on citizen engagement fits perfectly with the efforts of the nationwide “Engaged City” network. A handbook published by städtetag.de, brings together knowledge and practical examples from 47 committed cities and supports local actors in promoting civic engagement. The initiative aims to not only create good framework conditions, but also to establish strong networks - an approach that is obviously well received in Biberach.

This means that Citizens' Day in Biberach will be more than just a celebration: it will become a symbol for the cooperation between citizens, business, politics and administration. There really is something going on!
