Pure culture in the Böblingen district: jazz, comedy and lantern magic!

An exciting weekend is coming up in the Böblingen district! The German Weather Service's forecasts point to mild autumn weather, with temperatures that could reach up to 20 degrees. However, there could be some foggy conditions on Friday. Perfect conditions for the numerous events on the program.

This Thursday, October 30th, the Vintage Sisters have a big performance at Fetzers in Böblingen. At 7 p.m., their program will take the audience to Berlin in the 1920s - a mixture of singing, theater and piano, which is a real highlight for all culture enthusiasts.

Comedy and music in the region

Jürgen von der Lippe has a special program ready for comedy fans on the same evening with his reading “Sextextsextett”. The event will take place in the Sindelfingen town hall from 8 p.m.

Friday also has exciting events in store. Things get jazzy at the Mauerwerk in Herrenberg: A concert with Klaus Graf (saxophone), Christoph Neuhaus (guitar), Martin Meixner (Hammond organ) and Johann Polzer (drums) starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available in advance for 20 euros, reduced for 15 euros. At the box office, entry costs 23 euros, reduced price 17 euros.

If you prefer rock and groovy, you have the opportunity to experience the cover band Breaze live in the Blue House from 9 p.m. The six-piece band entertains guests for an entry fee of 15 euros. Ensemble members include Silvestro De Vito and Nicole Döring, who will certainly create a good atmosphere with their singing.

Tradition and cosiness

On Sunday the music club in Schönaich invites you to the festive lantern parade. Accompanied by colorful lanterns, the participants will parade through the streets in front of the town hall from 5:30 p.m. At the finish, delicious hot sausages, children's punch and mulled wine await the hungry and thirsty revelers. More information can be found on the music association’s social media channels.

It's also worth taking a look at the region's events calendar, because the next highlights are just around the corner. On November 7th, Martini Night – Long Shopping Night will take place in Böblingen with many special offers. And on November 15th, the Long Night of Museums begins, with numerous art venues inviting visitors to explore. The anticipation of the Advent season also grows with the Advent magic at the Christmas market in Böblingen, which takes place from November 26th to 30th.
