Full closure in Oberrotweil: Important traffic information for next week!

In the coming weeks, drivers in Oberrotweil will be asked to reconsider their routes. From Monday, August 18th to Friday, August 22nd, 2025, the L115 and Bahnhofstrasse will be completely at risk due to extensive road work. The route will be completely closed for around 1.3 kilometers between the intersections L115/K4927 to Oberrotweil and L115/K4926 to Niederrotweil. This reports News.de.

The maintenance work will begin on Monday evening at 10:00 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Friday at 9:59 p.m. Diversions via Bischoffingen will be set up for drivers, truck owners and local public transport. It is advisable to have this information in mind in time to avoid unwanted traffic jams.

The work will be carried out in three construction phases, with the first phase ideally being completed by the start of school so as not to unnecessarily disrupt the flow of public transport. Cyclists will also have the right of way in the new junction area, and tactile guidance elements will be installed for visually impaired road users.

Construction measures in context

The need for such road work falls within a larger context of investments in transport infrastructure in Germany. According to the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport's 2022 Transport Investment Report, maintaining and expanding the transport network is crucial for personal freedom and economic growth. The federal government has set ensuring the quality of the rail, road and waterway networks as a central goal. Bottlenecks should be eliminated through new construction and expansion, which should ultimately also benefit residents. Further information about these projects can be found on the website BMV.

It will be exciting to see how the measures in Oberrotweil and Kersbach will affect traffic. The following applies to all road users: Stay patient and foresight while the roads are made fit for the coming years!
