On June 15, 2025, numerous children and young people were able to experience a unique sporting event in the Tälesee Hall in Empfingen, which was all about bubble soccer. organized by Youth Department Reception. The weather was brilliant and the activities were able to take place outdoors, which only further boosted the spirits of the young participants.

The sports-loving kids were looked after by a dedicated team led by Katrin Blocher (youth department), Florian Renz (deputy youth director of the SGE) and Mark Neidinger, an FSJ member in Empfingen. The selection of activities left nothing to be desired: In addition to bubble soccer, the children could also try out volleyball and other ball games. They also had the opportunity to decide for themselves which games they would like to play, which made the event particularly exciting.

Bubble Soccer – The new fun factor

Bubble soccer is a new trend sport that is very popular with participants and is becoming increasingly popular. In this fun format, players wear inflatable, transparent balls called bubble balls over their upper bodies, which protect them from injuries in the event of collisions. These bubble balls are made of robust PVC or TPU and have a diameter of around 1.5 meters when inflated. For younger players, there are even special children's sizes with a diameter of 1.20 meters, which are suitable for children up to around 1.20 meters tall. The exuberant atmosphere during the games showed how much fun the kids have playing and the enthusiasm this trend sport generates. Given the high summer temperatures, it was all the more pleasing that the Imnauer Sprudelfabrik supported the event with drinks and thus provided the necessary refreshment. The games were not only well received by the children; The supervisors were also enthusiastic about the dynamics of the event.

The successful event was just the beginning: further events are planned in Empfingen once every quarter in the future. The next date has already been set: On September 26th, the kids will once again have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in bubble soccer and other activities. Another date on December 19th is also in the starting blocks. The youth department definitely has a good hand when it comes to organization!
