Rom, Italien - in Rome, on July 4, 2025, shortly after 8:00 a.m., a violent explosion at a petrol station came up, which resulted in several injuries. According to Südtirol News bounced off against a petrol pump, which sparked the fire. Passers -by were able to save a seriously injured driver from the burning vehicle while the petrol station was in full fire. Thanks to the quick intervention of the voluntary fire brigades from Waidbruck, Barbian, Atzwang and Klausen, the spread of the fire to the fuel tank could be prevented.

Although the company building of the petrol station was completely destroyed, the fire brigade managed to control the fire within a short time and to avert the spread to the surrounding storage areas. Rescue services from Klausen and Bozen as well as an emergency doctor from Bolzano organized the initial care of the injured person who was taken to the Bozner hospital. The Carabinieri started the investigation into the course of the accident.
