The federal states of Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, Berlin, Brandenburg and Saxony are particularly affected. The north of Bavaria could not be spared from the storms either. In addition, hailstones of up to 3 cm in diameter are expected and heavy rain of up to 35 liters per square meter is expected in a short period of time. According to the forecast, the thunderstorms are expected until late afternoon when they move towards Poland. On Wednesday, only isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected in the southwest and the extreme north, although local thunderstorms with heavy rain cannot be ruled out there either.
Warning levels and dangers
