Estival Esslingen 2025: Records despite rain and expensive prices!
The Estival Esslingen provided many highlights on the Esslingen market square from August 1st to 13th, 2025. The event, organized by Esslingen Markt und Event GmbH (EME) in collaboration with six restaurants and other partners, was particularly popular - despite initial capricious weather in the first week, which initially dampened visitor frequency. But in the second week things really got going!
The organizers draw a consistently positive conclusion. Many guests raved about the diverse dining options, although a survey by the Esslinger Zeitung revealed that 82.5% of 1,837 respondents found the prices for food and drinks to be too high. The Eißele wine tavern's record year was particularly pleasing, as it caused a stir among the participants.
A colorful program for everyone
The supporting program was also impressive. With live music, a DJ and street art days, there was something for every taste. A highlight was Children's Day, when the little visitors got their money's worth. In addition, the charity campaign “Together for a good cause” was a real success: over 450 wine glasses were sold, the proceeds of which go to the St. Vinzenz day club. This campaign, supported by Kreissparkasse Esslingen-Nürtingen, is expected to continue until the end of the year.
The event manager Petra Pfeiffer and Mayor Matthias Klopfer are even planning to use the Estival more as a platform for the local economy in the future. A final highlight was a raffle in which six lucky winners got a hot air balloon ride over Esslingen. A truly heavenly experience!
