Cinema magic at the Esslingen Castle: Open-Air Festival starts soon!
With bubbling enthusiasm, the Esslingen Open-Air cinema goes into the next round! From July 31 to August 9, 2025, the picturesque Esslinger Burg to to 3,000 film enthusiasts per evening. This year, the audience awaits an exciting program with a total of ten carefully selected films, which the experienced Ina Riedinger from the municipal cinema is compiled.
The culinary delights and a lively supporting program will also enrich the evening. The Cinebar of the Freiraum Association invites you to linger with cocktails and snacks, while live bands from the region get the visitors in the mood for the films. This year there will also be daily film quiz and hands-on activities for children and adolescents-a real family festival! The tickets will be available from July 1st and regularly costs EUR 13.50 and reduced 10.50 euros, available from Kinoheld and at the box office.

a cinema with tradition
founded in 1993, this open-air cinema has developed into an indispensable part of Esslingen's cultural life. As in previous years , the organizers also count on the support of around 150 volunteers who enable the organization and implementation with passion and commitment. The association has ensured that the health and safety aspects are also optimally regulated.
The event last year attracted 16,800 visitors, which was a remarkable performance due to the inconsistent weather. This balance has prompted the organizers to look optimistically ahead and prepare for an equally successful season.
