Mysterious body part in Bonlanden: Trolley Commission investigates!

A tragic incident shakes the region: The case of the “suitcase corpse” from Bonlanden is now in the public eye. The ZDF program “Aktenzeichen XY unsolved” reported on Wednesday, September 17th about the gruesome discovery in which the body of a 44-year-old woman was discovered. The body was found in a suitcase in the Bonlanden district just two weeks ago and the investigation is already in full swing. The presenter Rudi Cerne will host the program and the police have announced a statement, although there will be no film reports on the case. Stuttgart News report on the investigations carried out by a 44-member special commission called Trolley. The search has now been expanded to a nationwide level.

As part of the investigation, the police have already intensively searched for clues in Stuttgart's homeless and drug community. Flyers with the picture of the deceased woman were also distributed, and the suitcase in which she was found will be the focus of the search in the future. The police have also offered a reward of 1,000 euros for relevant information, which shows how seriously the authorities are pursuing this case.

Background to the crime situation

The development of crime in Germany is a much-discussed topic. According to a recent analysis, the number of registered crimes is around 5.84 million. Interestingly, the partial legalization of cannabis since April 2024 has led to a decrease in cannabis crimes, which has benefited the overall statistics. Nevertheless, the increase in other crimes that affect people's sense of security cannot be overlooked. Statista emphasizes that property and counterfeit crimes as well as street crime in particular are increasing. In terms of the clearance rate, the numbers have even fallen slightly in 2024, which poses additional challenges for the police.

In the case of the suitcase corpse, it is crucial to obtain further information from the population in order to solve this gruesome murder. The fight against crime is therefore not only on the police's agenda, but is also a central concern of citizens. The reward shown and the active investigation speak for themselves and are a call to anyone who might know something to come forward.
