One thing is very clear: data protection remains an important issue even during the holiday season, and many supervisory authorities carry out preventive audits on companies. The security of email accounts and the legality of order processing contracts are at the top of the list, as various authorities report.

The Federal Association of Consumer Organizations has also filed a lawsuit against Tesla because the “guard mode” records suspicious activities but also records bystanders. This shows the tension between innovative technology and the legitimate need for data protection.
