On October 26, 2025, the center of Sulz was transformed into a lively festival when the Sulzer Autumn which attracted visitors. Hundreds of people flocked to the traffic-calmed zone to explore the diverse offerings, shop and enjoy culinary delights. Before 12 p.m. the streets filled up quickly and the mood was consistently positive.
The event, organized by Sulzer Trade and Commerce Association (HGV), offered something for everyone. Families enjoyed a wide range of dishes, including hearty potato soup, delicious hot dogs, Italian pizza and French delicacies such as crepes. There was also an entertaining supporting program for the whole family.
A colorful supporting program
The attractions ranged from a nostalgic carousel to face painting and giant soap bubbles, which were presented by Klausi Klücklich. For the little visitors there was also a bungee trampoline and creative juggling activities by Nick Hardegger and Simone Burger from “Nix Jugglery”. The local flea market on Sonnenstrasse and Brühlstrasse was also impressive and offered a colorful mix of jewelry, pictures and books.
A highlight of the day was the historic shuttle bus that connected various venues, including Hall 16 and the Angelika-Wössner-Stift. There the doors of the facility opened and provided insights into the everyday life of the residents. Those interested could even gain experience with an age simulation suit and noise glasses and thus gain new perspectives.
Business was busy
The Sulzer shops were busy during the Sunday shopping season and attracted many shoppers. Birgit Stiehle, the deputy chairwoman of the HGV, was very satisfied with the high customer frequency and the positive response to the event. The car dealerships Schmid, Blocher and Roth presented new vehicle models, while “Brennholz Mai” was on site with a woodworking machine and surprise activities for the children.
Special regional offerings, such as the wine from Oberkirch, which was served at the wine fountain, contributed to the appealing atmosphere. A free recipe booklet from HGV was also well received by visitors, which rounded off the offer perfectly.
In summary it can be said that the Sunday shopping in Sulz on October 26, 2025 was not only a feast for the senses, but also a successful opportunity to strengthen the community and support the local economy. The visitors went home completely satisfied, so they are already looking forward to the next event.
