Next week, small Hertingen will be the venue for an exciting event that will delight motorsport fans and families alike: the grass track race will take place from August 15th to 17th, 2025. With a distance of 510 meters, the event promises pure thrills for participants and spectators. Hundreds of visitors are expected, including international riders who will compete in both solo and sidecar classes.
The event kicks off with the “Hertinger Party Night” on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 8 p.m., with free admission. Admission opens at 7:30 p.m. The Duo Schwarz and the talented young artist Maris Siegin, who appears as a finalist on “The Voice Kids”, will provide musical entertainment. Anyone interested in mopeds can stop by the fifth “Markgräfler Moped Meeting” and meet like-minded people.
Food, drink and lots of action
The Saturday Speed Night on August 16, 2025 will be a very special highlight. From 8 p.m., fans can look forward to spectacular speeds of over 100 kilometers per hour while the drivers demonstrate their skills in various classes. Admission costs 22 euros for adults aged 16 and over, while young people up to 16 years of age can join for just 12 euros.
Lots of goodies won't be missing either. On Friday, guests can expect a wide range of sausages, fries and sandwiches. On Saturday, sausage salad, tarte flambée and sweets tempt, while on Sunday there is a hearty menu of pepper roast, pasta, sliced meat as well as grilled and currywurst.
Spiritual moments and clean camping
Sunday, August 17, 2025, offers a more contemplative touch with a festive service and the traditional regular driving of the mopeds. The spectators are treated to an exciting spectacle while the moped teams try to ride their laps as evenly as possible.
For those who prefer to stay longer, there are numerous overnight accommodations directly at the race site. Camping is available for 20 euros per vehicle, including electricity and toilet facilities, so both locals and visitors from England, such as cousins Josh and Scott Goodwin from Kent, can enjoy a restful night.
