Julian Hug, a 12-year-old racing star from Kippenheim, has made a name for himself in the world of karting. His family also plays a crucial role in Julian's career: his father works technically on the kart, while his mother, although worried, has full confidence in her son's abilities. Through intensive training two to three times a week, he continuously improves the settings of his kart in order to drive even faster and more efficiently.
A look into the future
The next season in spring 2026 will continue to see Julian in his age group. But the ambitious young man already has bigger plans: he dreams of a career in Formula 1. However, the financial demands in this area should not be underestimated. The ADAC Kart Rookie Cup offers young people like Julian a cost-effective opportunity to make a name for themselves in racing - the season costs are around 600 euros. “This is an affordable way to get into this sport,” says Julian optimistically.
