Trigema in Burladingen: Migration Advisory Board discovers opportunities for integration!
The integration of refugees into society is a challenge that is increasingly coming into focus. This week an interesting event took place in Burladingen, where members of the Migration Advisory Board had the opportunity to visit the company Trigema. We could look forward to an exciting factory tour and an exchange with the managing director Bonita Grupp schwarzwaelder-bote.de reported.
Trigema, a company that stands for “Made in Germany” and places great value on regional value creation, employs over 40 nationalities in its workforce. With around a third of the employees having foreign roots, the company is a remarkable example of successful integration. The focus here is on the commitment to refugees, and the event offered the opportunity to provide information about existing employment opportunities and to get to know the work and manufacturing processes in more detail, as can be seen from the information from zollernalbkreis.de.
Visit to the Migration Advisory Board
Together with District Administrator Günther-Martin Pauli, Head of the Social Affairs Department Georg Link and Thomas Zizmann, Head of the Office for Immigration and Integration, the members of the Migration Advisory Board took part in the approximately two-hour exchange. In addition to the information about the company and its production processes, the focus was also on the dialogue about the working groups' current activities. The Migration Advisory Board's Working Group for Children and Youth is particularly active in exchange with schools that have a high proportion of students with a migrant background.
The feedback from the event was consistently positive and the participants were impressed by the insights into the daily processes at Trigema, which not only produces high-quality products but is also considered a role model for successful integration and regional solidarity. This initiative fits well into the larger context that the UN Refugee Aid has in mind: the integration of refugees requires comprehensive measures and the willingness of both sides to adapt and grow together.
Integration as a shared task
“Integration means that new arrivals are part of social life right from the start,” explains the UN refugee agency. Since many refugees are unable to return to their homeland in the short term due to conflict or persecution, it is even more important that they receive the support and opportunities they need to find a lasting place in society.
Successful integration is not just a question of the legal framework, but also includes economic, socio-cultural and civil-political aspects. The goal should always be to give refugees a permanent right of residence or the opportunity to become a citizen so that they can live equally in their new home.
Trigema's initiative and the exchange with the Migration Advisory Board are important steps towards successful and respectful integration, which benefits both the new immigrants and the host society.
