Handball friends, watch out! The ALSCO Women's Handball Bundesliga has now presented its schedule for the coming season and anticipation is already bubbling in the scene. The new season starts on Friday, August 29, 2025 with a thrilling opening game between Sport-Union Neckarsulm and HSG Bensheim/Auerbach. Who can miss this kick-off at 7:30 p.m.? This is the perfect time to head indoors for the first time this season.
But that's just the beginning: On Saturday, August 30, 2025, there are several games on the schedule that will make handball hearts beat faster. Among others, HSG Blomberg-Lippe and Buxtehuder SV meet at 5 p.m., while VfL Oldenburg welcomes BSV Sachsen Zwickau at 6 p.m. There are also other exciting duels that will take place in the halls - including the encounters between Frisch Auf Göppingen and HB Ludwigsburg as well as Borussia Dortmund against TuS Metzingen, both at 7 p.m.
Important highlights of the season
The game between Borussia Dortmund and HB Ludwigsburg promises to be a highlight of the season, which will be a real clash of the Titans on the third matchday on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025. It continues with the first replay of the playoff final and the Handball Super Cup on matchday six. On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, there will be an exciting duel between HB Ludwigsburg and HSG Blomberg-Lippe.
