A dramatic fire occurred on July 13, 2025 in Bühlerzell, in the Schwäbisch Hall district. The cause? A baler that caught fire in the Geifertshofen district. The persistent heat and dry conditions already contributed to the fire spreading quickly. Around 100 firefighters were mobilized to fight the flames and prevent anything worse from happening. The emergency services included not only various fire departments, but also energetic farmers who used their machines to provide support.
How daily news reported, the Bühlerzell fire department was alerted first. Due to the extent of the fire, support was quickly requested, including fire departments from Obersontheim and Bühlertann with a total of six vehicles. A swap loader vehicle from Crailsheim was also required to ensure the water supply. Farmers brought barrels of water to the scene and helped to disperse the fire with their machines.

Interestingly, just two days earlier, on Friday, July 11th, there was another fire between Heilbronn-Biberach and Bad Wimpfen, the causes of which are still unclear. A stubble field burned down over an area of one hectare. Here too, farmers were on hand and helped with tractors, water tanks and cultivators to create firebreaks.
