FV Ravensburg strengthens the defense - Bachmann's promising new beginning!
Last season, FV Ravensburg relied on experienced central defenders to strengthen their defense. But after the resignation of Jan Zwischenbrugger (35) and the departure of Jannik Fippl (25), it was time to bring a breath of fresh air into the defensive line. New to the team is Maximilian Bachmann (23), who signed a contract until the 2025/26 season on Saturday afternoon. The talented player has already been hailed as a promising newcomer after playing a full 90 minutes in a friendly against FC Memmingen (2-2). Coach Rahman Soyudogru praised Bachmann for his training and skills, which he already demonstrated in the regional league.
Bachmann, who originally comes from Rust – known for Europa-Park – has already had an eventful career. Despite a knee injury that slowed him down at times, he most recently played for VfR Heilbronn in the association league and has ambitious plans for the upcoming league season. In his new role at FV Ravensburg, he will not only be used as a central defender, but can also play in defensive midfield and as a full-back. The club has already planned two test matches against the U21s of a Swiss first division team in St. Gallen and against FV Illertissen in order to prepare optimally.
A good start to the basement duel
The Ravensburgers have recently been under a lot of pressure in the top league. In the basement duel against FC Holzhausen they achieved a convincing 3-1 win. Daniel Schachtschneider scored the first goal for Ravensburg in the 23rd minute after Ivo Colic had done the preparatory work. Philipp Kirsamer increased the score to 2-0 in the 30th minute before Antonio Babic scored the next goal for Holzhausen in the 33rd minute. But that wasn't all: An own goal from Carlos Konz (68th) made the victory perfect for Ravensburg. With this performance, the Ravensburgers show that they are willing to free themselves from the lower region of the table.
The FV Ravensburg line-up included the following players: Ramon Castellucci, Manuel Geiselhart, Marek Bleise, Jannik Fippl, Moritz Jeggle, Gabriel Galinec, Ivo Colic, John Schmidtke, Felix Schäch, Daniel Schachtschneider and Philipp Kirsamer, all of whom benefited from a solid team performance. The number of spectators was also impressive: with 310 fans watching the game, there was a good atmosphere in the stadium.
A look into the future
The Ottobrunners can look forward to the coming league season with optimism. The new transfers and recent successes show that FV Ravensburg is ready to take on the challenges. For the fans, it remains to be seen how the team will continue to develop under the leadership of coach Soyudogru and whether the goals set can be achieved.
