Karlsruhe celebrates bathing day: KVV ticket brings outdoor pool summer!

On Friday, August 15th, the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV) organized a free swimming day, which caused enthusiasm among the city's citizens and visitors. How ka-news.de reported, KVV customers with a valid public transport ticket were able to visit four popular outdoor swimming pools in Karlsruhe without paying a cent. This event offered the perfect opportunity to refresh yourself in the water on hot summer days.

The outdoor pools that were open that day included the Turmbergbad, the Sonnenbad, the Rheinstrandbad Rappenwört and the Rüppurr outdoor pool. These offer opening times that range from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and therefore have something to offer for every taste. Those particularly adventurous can splash around in the Turmbergbad from 9 a.m. or in the sunbath until late in the evening.

KVV campaign for everyone

To take part in this great campaign, guests simply had to show a current KVV ticket that was valid on that day. In addition to the single ticket, you also had the option of using your subscription ticket, which was purchased at the ticket machine or on your smartphone. A simple measure to enjoy a carefree day in the outdoor pool in summer temperatures!

The concept of such an action is not new; A similar bathing day took place on July 17th, which showed how popular these offers are. In this context, the KVV works closely with the Karlsruhe baths to offer the city's residents and visitors a special service.

A look at the future

At a time when shared leisure activities continue to gain in importance, it is gratifying that offers like these not only contribute to relaxation, but also strengthen a sense of community. Opportunities such as a free swimming day lower the inhibition threshold to exercise outdoors and invite you to enjoy the advantages of Karlsruhe.

With such a commitment, the KVV not only promotes local public transport, but also brings joy and relaxation into the lives of many people. It remains to be hoped that these initiatives will continue in the future and bring more fun to the city. Big shout out to everyone who made this event possible!
