Karlsruhe launches impressive employer campaign for skilled workers!

Something is happening in Karlsruhe! On November 13, 2025, the excitement was palpable when the city's human resources management presented the brand new campaign to attract new skilled workers. The whole thing was presented in the tram depot on Wikingerstrasse, a place that symbolizes the city's innovative strength and progress. Personnel Mayor Dr. Albert Käuflein announced that this is the first completely new employer appearance during his term of office.

With a fresh slogan "It's KA. It's clear. It's Karlsruhe." The campaign not only wants to catch the eye, but also extend an invitation to future trainees and new employees. The mayor was optimistic that this measure would position the city as an attractive employer.

Innovation on rails

To make the message known far and wide, two trams were lovingly wrapped with campaign motifs. These movable advertising media bring the new appearance directly to citizens and commuters. The campaign was also already visible at the Schlosslichtspiele and on Citylight posters, which attracted a lot of attention.

The selection of the 16 representatives from almost 7,000 employees was not a coincidence. They were photographed at prominent locations in Karlsruhe, such as the KSC stadium, the Turmbergterrasse or the ZKM. Such locations not only show the diversity of the city, but also the employees' close ties to their homeland.

Karlsruhe in portrait

The third largest city in Baden-Württemberg has a lot to offer. With over 309,000 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2024), Karlsruhe is considered the main center for the regional association as well as neighboring areas in the southern Palatinate and northern Alsace in France. The city was founded in 1715 as a baroque planned city and is known as the “fan city” due to its radial city plan. Anyone who lives or works here not only appreciates the good connections via motorways and the main train station, but also the rich cultural offerings.

Karlsruhe is a real business location with important companies in the areas of IT, energy and food production. The city also offers an active cultural scene with numerous theaters and museums that offer a wide range of events for the population. Awarded as a “City of Media Art”, Karlsruhe attracts creative people and specialists from all over the world.

At a time when skilled workers are in demand like never before, the city is breaking new ground with its latest campaign. Dr. Käuflein and his team show that they have a good knack for innovative solutions. The question now is: Will the city be able to attract the talent it wants? Only time will tell.
