Limburg rowers triumph: double victory in the country comparison in Karlsruhe!

On October 27, 2025, there was an exciting picture in Karlsruhe: The cross-country competition in rowing attracted numerous talents, including 15 young athletes from the Limburg Club for Water Sports (LCW). On this last holiday weekend, people rowed over a 500m long route for the coveted trophies of the city of Karlsruhe. And the LCW was able to win big!

Particularly noteworthy is the victory ofValentin Meissin boy One of the 14 year olds. With the fastest time, he beat 17 other competitors and took first place. On Sunday, the state comparison battle was particularly exciting because cross-state boats were formed, as only the LCW and two girls from Mülheim were at the start. Stung hereLina Wustexcelled in both boat disciplines and celebrated great successes: She won the lightweight girls' double sculls 14 years and the open girls' double sculls with a great team from Mülheim and Heidelberg. The boys' quadruple sculls 13/14 years also came in second.

A winter season with a view

The 2025 rowing season ended very successfully for the LCW. Winter training will now begin, and the 14-year-olds have also made the jump to the junior training group. The children's training group also has space for motivational people who would like to take up rowing.

In addition to its sporting successes, the Limburg club can also impress with its club rooms. These can be rented for various celebrations such as birthdays or weddings, and are even accessible to non-members. The covered terrace with a view of the Lahn ensures that every party becomes something special. The club even includes seating and tableware for up to 100 people, so that every guest is well looked after. Rowing has a long tradition in Germany and is a sporting delight. The German Rowing Association, founded in Cologne in 1883, is one of the oldest and most successful associations in the world.
