You can't beat a celebration like this! At the 255th Ludwigsburg Horse Market, the 4th Cavalry Regiment “Queen Olga” i.Tr. a very special honorary award was presented. On this solemn day, the mayor of Ludwigsburg presented Dr. Matthias Knecht presented the certificate of honor and a large silver medal to Peggy and Rainer Keilbach, Hans Petrowitsch and Claudia Sachade - all from Tuttlingen. The 4th Equestrian Regiment has been celebrating its participation in the horse market parade since 2014. This year there were also other participants from the Tuttlingen district, including Kerstin Hirt, Jonas Müller and many more, who all contributed to the colorful parade. The spectators were able to admire a magnificent route: from the Schorndorf Gatehouse to the music hall, past the Residenzschloss and the Blooming Baroque Palace Garden, there was a lot to see and experience. With so much commitment, it's no wonder that the atmosphere invited people to join in the celebrations!

A look into history

The connection between horse markets and the economy is not new. The Ludwigsburg horse market has a long tradition. At that time, the craftsmen wanted to stimulate their city's economy and successfully asked for support from the city administration. History shows that such markets not only serve to delight visitors, but can also provide economic stimulus. A big thank you

A big thank you also goes to the dedicated members of the “Cylinder and Pompon” group led by Louise Hossalla and to the members of the German Society for Historical Uniform Studies. They all contributed to the success of the parade. After the parade, some participants were photographed for a group photo directly in front of the Ludwigsburg town hall - a nice end to a successful day.
