Big concert in the Bronnbach Monastery: salon music with coffee and cake!
On November 8, 2025, the walls of the Bernhard Hall in the Bronnbach Monastery invited you to a very special musical afternoon. The Bremen Salon Orchestra thrilled the guests with a varied program of Ufa hits, operetta melodies and classical arrangements. The atmosphere was characterized by a cozy coffee house flair, where visitors could linger over coffee and cake. This created an atmospheric setting that brought old and young people together.
There were also some special personalities among the guests: Johannes Mnich, director of the Tauberphilharmonie Weikersheim, Frank Mittnacht, head of culture and tourism in the Main-Tauber district office, and Achim Camerer on the cello. These guests not only brought musical skills with them, but also contributed to regional cultural promotion.
A musical fireworks display
The program led through the diversity of salon music and left nothing to be desired. From the “Lustspiel Overture” by Bela Keler to the popular sounds of Johann Strauss Sohn, such as the “Radetzky Marsch” as an encore, the range of performances was wide-ranging. Highlights also included “Strangers in the Night” and “New York, New York,” which brought back numerous memories.
- „Lustspielouvertüre“ von Bela Keler
- „Ungarischer Tanz Nr. 5“ von Brahms
- Potpourri aus Léhars „Die Fledermaus“
- „Meditation“ aus Massenets „Thaïs“
- „Serenata“ von Toselli
- „Leichtes Blut“ von Johann Strauß Sohn
- Ouvertüre zur Oper „Carmen“ von Bizet
- „Wiener Blut“, „Der Schwan“ von Saint-Saëns
- „Unter Donner und Blitz“ von Johann Strauß Sohn
- „Radetzky Marsch“ von Johann Strauß Vater (Zugabe)
Commitment to the region
The proceeds from the concert will benefit the Friends of Bronnbach Monastery and the Rotary Wertheim to support local projects. This initiative shows how important cultural events are not only for shared experiences, but also for social interaction in the region.
Johannes Mnich is also actively committed to further expanding the Tauberphilharmonie as a cultural location and attracting new target groups. This became noticeable during the concert, as the guests' enthusiasm led to optimistic discussions about the future cultural development of the region.
The performing musicians of the Bremen Salon Orchestra are known for their musical versatility and joy of playing. This was reflected in every note they played. The afternoon was not only a feast for the ears, but also a great opportunity to exchange ideas and enjoy life in a relaxed atmosphere.
A successful weekend that everyone involved will have fond memories of!
