This morning, shortly after 8 a.m., there was a serious accident on the A656 motorway in Mannheim that paralyzed the road for several hours. According to rnz.de, three vehicles were involved in the incident, including an Opel, whose driver had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The Opel driver had braked due to traffic when a following Audi driver noticed the brake light too late and crashed into the rear of the Opel with full force. The impact was so violent that the Audi was thrown against the concrete barrier and then collided with a VW. Fortunately, there were no other injuries, but all three vehicles were so damaged after the accident that they had to be towed away.
