Self-help day in Ortenaukreis: Active groups introduce themselves!
On Tuesday, September 16th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the topic of self-help will be in downtown Offenburg. The Self-Help Day is brought to life by the German Association of Self-Help Groups (DAG SHG) and the National Contact and Information Center for the Stimulation and Coordination of Self-Help Groups (NAKOS). The aim of this event is to make the benefits of self-help groups better known and to recognize their important work. The contact point for self-help groups of the Ortenaukreis district office, as well as various local self-help groups, introduce themselves.
The focus is particularly on groups that deal with topics such as “Lung, Asthma, COPD & Allergies”, “Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS)” and “Long/Post-Covid”. Here those affected have the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information and exchange information. In addition, the German tragicomedy “One for the Road” about alcoholism will be shown in the evening at 6 p.m. in the Forum Kino Offenburg and at 7 p.m. in the Haslach Cinema Center. Entry is free for self-help activists.

A Wider Context: Meaning of Self-Help
