From June 27th to 29th, 2025, the Gartenstadtgemeinschaft Arlinger e.V. is celebrating a big comeback after a six-year break with the Arlinger Children's and Flower Festival. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary, this event will not only be a highlight for local residents, but also for numerous visitors from the surrounding area. As pforzheim.de reports, guests can expect a varied program that will delight young and old.
The event begins on Friday with a traditional tapping of the barrel, followed by a stage program in which over 100 participants give their best. With all kinds of music from oldies to hits to current charts, the party duo Neumann ensures a good mood. The weekend promises a colorful mix of tradition and modern entertainment.
A celebration for the whole family
On Saturday it gets particularly colorful when the lantern parade parades through the streets - a highlight, especially for the younger participants. The band 6th Element will provide additional atmosphere and perform hits from the past as well as current chart hits. The crowning conclusion of the evening is the “Night of 100,000 Lights”, during which the entire district is transformed into a sea of lights. The city lighting is switched off and closed to traffic so that the creative design of the gardens and lanterns can be fully appreciated.
On Sunday, the last day of the festival, visitors can attend an ecumenical service on the festival site before a large parade with the participation of residents, kindergartens, schools and clubs marks the day. The evening will be crowned by the band Partyfriedeuse with live music and an impressive brilliant fireworks display that lights up the sky after dark.
Culinary highlights and prices
The festival site opens its doors every day and offers culinary delicacies as well as beer from the traditional Pforzheimer Ketterer brewery. Numerous showmen with various attractions are also on site and provide fun and entertainment, making the festival a real experience for the whole family. Entrance tickets cost a moderate 5 euros, while children up to 14 years old can take part for free. Prizes will be raffled off among all paying visitors, and the entry wristbands will be numbered.
