B32 is becoming safer: measures start with partial closure from Tuesday!

What's happening in the traffic scene on the B32? Current improvements are on the agenda! The regional council (RP) has announced that part of the B32 between Bodnegg-Rotheidlen and Amtzell-Korb will be closed to road users from November 11, 2025. The aim of this measure is to increase safety on an accident-prone section of the federal highway, which is urgently needed. The Ravensburg CDU district association had already called for a security expansion some time ago, which is now finally being implemented.

A look at the planned measures shows that the three-lane expansion of the road will certainly ensure less traffic jams and more safety in certain sections. In addition, access roads are relieved by turning lanes and some areas are even given freedom from intersections. The infrastructure for bicycles and agricultural vehicles is also not neglected, especially in the Kammersteig area.

Details about the construction project

A closer look at the planned work reveals the following: In addition to the creation of several left-turn lanes on the B32, improvements to bus stops are also necessary. Here, particular attention is paid to ensuring that these stops are easily accessible on foot and offer safe crossing options.

The exploratory drilling in the subsoil is scheduled to last from November 11th to 14th, 2023. During this time, the B32 will be partially closed in sections between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic is regulated by traffic lights. This means that patience is required when traveling on this route.

Current traffic situation

Current reports of disruptions on the B32 show that several danger reports have recently been resolved. The danger between the Max-Planck-Straße entrance and the turnoff to Schockensee as well as between the B311 and the Herbertingen/B32 roundabout is now eliminated. This means that traffic conditions have been significantly improved and most routes are now freely accessible again, as the stau.info platform reports.

On the other hand, however, some dangerous areas remained, such as the accident recording between Blitzenreute and Altshausen. Drivers should therefore remain vigilant.

All of these measures and improvements will not only make the B32 safer, but will also introduce a future-oriented conversion that will better meet the needs of road users. The efforts are clearly visible and one can hope that the traffic experience on this important section will soon be noticeably improved.
