Ravensburg: Endometriosis center receives important quality certification!

The endometriosis center at the St. Elisabethen Clinic in Ravensburg has reason to celebrate: It was recently successfully certified by EuroEndoCert. This certification proves that the medical care and organizational processes for patients with endometriosis here are at a very high level. What is particularly noteworthy is that endometriosis is a widespread disease that affects one in six women of childbearing age and which often requires long and painful treatment for many.

The certificate is awarded on behalf of the Endometriosis Research Foundation (SEF) and the European Endometriosis League (EEL). EuroEndoCert carries out all certifications and ensures that the facility complies harmoniously with the current German guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. Dr. Philipp Guttenberg, the senior physician at the women's clinic and head of the endometriosis center, and Dr. Martina Gropp-Meier, the head physician, is in charge here to provide the patients with the best possible care.

High quality standards thanks to strict testing

The process to obtain certification included a comprehensive assessment on May 19th. Outpatient care, operational quality and interdisciplinary collaboration were examined in detail. Regular case discussions with specialist departments such as radiology, surgery, gynecology and pain therapy were also included in the assessment. This shows that at the St. Elisabethen Clinic, not only the treatment itself, but also the aftercare and documentation are very important.

Another positive aspect recognized in the certification is the center's participation in scientific studies and the continuous training of the entire team. Attention is paid not only to technical aspects; The goal is also to improve the quality of life of patients and alleviate their symptoms through various therapeutic approaches such as conservative treatments, hormonal therapies and surgical interventions.

Special consultation hours for individual therapy recommendations

A special offer of the Endometriosis Center is the special consultation for chronic pelvic pain, which takes place every Monday. Here, patients receive individual therapy recommendations that are tailored to their personal needs. Anyone interested can make appointments through the women's clinic secretariat by calling 0751/87-2447.

In today's medicine, it is crucial that clinics and treatment facilities are geared to the needs of patients. The St. Elisabethen Clinic is a model example in this regard. Prof. Dr. Oliver Rentzsch, the medical director of the Oberschwabenklinik, emphasizes the importance of the center as an example of modern, patient-oriented medicine.

For those interested and affected, the EuroEndoCert website offers comprehensive information on the certification of endometriosis treatment facilities and their criteria. You can find out more about this on the EuroEndoCert website here as well as on the SEF website here.

We are pleased about the excellent development at the St. Elisabethen Clinic and hope that many women can benefit from this highly qualified care.
