Dramatic Zollern derby ended goalless: Gruol/Erlaheim vs. Trillfingen
Last weekend a thrilling derby in the Black Forest/ Zollern district league took place in Görulschen Freihof. The teams from SGM Gruol/Erlaheim and TSV Trillfingen met and brought around 400 spectators to their feet. Unfortunately the game ended in a somewhat disappointing 0-0 draw the Black Forest messenger reported.
The first half was characterized by a balanced game with a lack of highlights. In the 35th minute, Trillfinger Fabian Singer missed a great opportunity when he shot over the goal from the best position. While Gruol/Erlaheim built up pressure in the 25th minute, they were unable to achieve any significant completion. A free kick just before half-time also landed just over the crossbar.
Weak offense
The second half was similar. In the 85th minute, David Kleinfeld from Trillfingen had a good opportunity, but his low shot went just wide of the post. Heiko Belser, who played for Gruol/Erlaheim, was also unable to get his shot into the opponent's goal as it was parried by goalkeeper Johannes Wütz. The game, which was led by Christoph Görres, was characterized by the defensive stability of both teams, although both coaches criticized the partially lacking penetration of the offensives.
Jochen Gihr, coach of SGM Gruol/Erlaheim, emphasized that the defense was stable, but that there were personnel problems in the defense. On the other hand, Trillfingen's Fabian Singer agreed that the draw was fair, but did not rule out that his team could have been more creative offensively.
