ESV Rottweil: Women celebrate their first win of the season in the local derby!

A successful day for ESV Rottweil: Last weekend the sports club recorded two pleasing victories. After an exciting match against KSC Önsbach I, the women's team finally brought home their first win of the season. With a narrow result of 4.5 to 3.5 points, the victory was close, but the results were still clearly in favor of the Rottweilers with a score of 3100 to 3036. The best player of the game was Hanna Lohrmann, who made an excellent contribution with 592 pins and thus secured a point. Amanda Halblaub supported her team with 505 pins, while Sonja Hirt, Manuela Halblaub, Moni von Cieminski and Inge Zinner were unable to score any further points despite some strong performances. According to NRWZ, the match was exciting until the last second, but was crowned with a strong team performance.

As the weekend progressed, the Mixed 1 team also achieved an impressive victory. They defeated the TV Aixheim Hans-Peter Storz and Marc Clausse contributed one point each, while Ivonne Hartmann and Angelika Weißhaar scored 449 and 433 pins, but had to accept loss of points. These two successes marked a strong weekend for the ESV, and board member Jens Kaschuba can be proud of the teams' achievements.

News from the club

The home weekend coincided with the 69th general meeting of ESV Rottweil, which took place under the leadership of chairman Jens Kaschuba. Thirty new members were welcomed here, demonstrating the club's ongoing trend towards fostering a growing community. The past year was characterized by a calm atmosphere, and the meeting was a sign of the solidarity and commitment of the members. Financial stability was confirmed by positive reports from the auditors, and the discharge of the board of directors was unanimously approved. In new elections, Christian Dieterich was elected as second chairman and Sandra Robel as women's manager, both of whom should lead the club into the future.

What is particularly pleasing is the preparation for the club's 70th anniversary next year, when a varied program awaits the members. The ESV Rottweil is known for its committed youth work and senior programs, which are considered pioneers in the city, as the club website esv-rottweil.de informs.

Sports development report and social relevance

Another aspect that was addressed at the meeting were initiatives such as the Sports Development Report (SEB), which was launched in 2004 to improve the framework conditions for sports clubs and underline their social relevance. This project is carried out in collaboration with the Federal Institute for Sports Science (BISp) and aims to provide valuable data and arguments for political reporting on organized sport. The steadily increasing number of clubs involved, which is now around 20,000, shows the growing interest and acceptance of this project. Further information can be found on the BISp website.

In times in which sport is increasingly linked to social issues such as integration and volunteering, it is of great importance that the ESV and similar clubs assume their role as community bodies not only in the sporting but also in the social area. The ESV Rottweil is on a promising path to continue to be actively involved here.
