Young ice hockey professional becomes clinic manager in Bad Saulgau!

There is an exciting change at the top at the Waldburg-Zeil Clinics in Bad Saulgau: Kevin Napravnik will be the new clinic manager from July 2024. The 30-year-old, who has been working as deputy manager under Roland Aigner since July 1, 2024, brings a fresh perspective and a lot of experience. Napravnik lives in Ertingen with his wife and their eight-month-old son and has made a name for himself in the health and rehabilitation industry.

Napravnik originally comes from Bad Nauheim, not far from Frankfurt, where he became known not only as a health expert but also as a passionate ice hockey player. He began his sporting career at the age of three and played actively for EC Nauheim and the Frankfurter Löwen until he graduated from high school in 2015. After finishing school, he decided to do a dual course of study at the German University for Prevention and Health Management in Frankfurt.

A move into the healthcare industry

His professional path took him through various fitness studios, where he eventually took over the management of several branches. He and his family then moved to Sylt, where he worked in the renowned fasting clinic “Lanserhof” – initially as a health manager, then as “Medical Operations Manager” until the summer of 2024. For personal reasons, in particular due to the “difficult health care” on the island, he set out to look for new challenges, which ultimately led him to the Waldburg-Zeil clinics.

A headhunter helped him find the new position in the rehabilitation clinic. Napravnik is grateful for the support of his predecessor Roland Aigner, which made the transition easier for him. Starting in July, an assistant will support him in his new duties as he prepares to run the clinic.

Healthcare and its challenges

Working in a rehabilitation clinic like the Waldburg-Zeil-Klinik is not only characterized by extensive medical care, but also by an interdisciplinary approach to healing. This includes close collaboration between acute and rehabilitation physicians, therapists, psychologists and nursing staff. The goal is to help patients lead a mobile and self-determined life and to take their needs comprehensively into account. The clinic is a recognized center for rheumatic and orthopedic diseases as well as chronic pain, which underlines the importance of high-quality healthcare according to the Robert Koch Institute.

In the context of healthcare, regular representative data is of great importance. These support the planning of services and the formulation of recommendations for action for the entire care system and health policy. Against this background, Napravnik will approach his new role with a clear focus on teamwork and solution orientation. He sees parallels between his sporting career and his professional career and plans to incorporate these qualities into his work.

Not to be forgotten is his personal commitment: Napravnik is a big fan of his younger brother, who plays as a professional ice hockey player for the “Iserlohn Roosters”. This shows how deep his roots are in sport and could help him find the right balance between professional and family life.
