Regina Dvorak-Vucetic: New CDU leader for Stuttgart with clear goals!

A new wind is blowing in the CDU Stuttgart region: Regina Dvorak-Vucetic was elected as the new chairwoman at the regional conference in Neuhausen auf den Fildern with over 98 percent of the votes. She succeeds Fabian Gramling, who did not stand for re-election after five years. In her first address to members, Dvorak-Vucetic highlighted the important role of industrial jobs and innovation.

The new chairwoman's focus is on sustainable economic development. She sees the challenges in the threat of job cuts, relocations and international competitive pressure. In this context, she urgently calls for changes to the framework conditions, including relief for companies and an increased focus on education. “We must respond to the concerns of our companies and improve the conditions for their development,” said Dvorak-Vucetic.

A strong team behind Dvorak-Vucetic

Its board team is made up of experienced politicians, including Roland Schmid, Hartmut Holzwarth and Lukas Tietze. Particularly noteworthy is Ann-Kathrin Flik, who will serve as deputy chairwoman. This means that Dvorak-Vucetic is well positioned to realize its goals in the region.

The economic situation in Germany is tense. High energy prices and a shortage of skilled workers are just some of the challenges companies are currently facing. The CDU has set itself the goal of bringing about a policy change in order to create prosperity for everyone. A central component of the CDU election program specifies the requirements that the federal government wants to address: modernizing labor law, reducing bureaucracy and creating incentives to attract workers.

Promoting innovation and digitalization

The federal government has already begun to promote relief and investments in key future areas such as digitalization and infrastructure. A tax investment program has been introduced to support investment in equipment for businesses. Other measures include supporting industry to reduce energy costs and reducing bureaucratic hurdles. These trends are of great importance in order to further consolidate Germany as a location for innovation.

In the competition for skilled workers, the aim is also to attract more foreign skilled workers to Germany and to promote the compatibility of work and family. The development of a new pension provision for the self-employed and the promotion of women in the workplace are further measures intended to support this objective.

“The CDU will increasingly advocate for the interests of companies and employees in the coming period,” announced Dvorak-Vucetic. In doing so, she set an example towards a productive and committed future for the region and beyond.
