In the exciting world of youth basketball, the Young Tigers Tübingen are really stepping up their game in the JBBL qualification. The opener against USC Freiburg ended with a narrow defeat (42:44), followed by a convincing 57:44 win against the SU Neckarsulm Lions and an impressive 74:63 victory over Karlsruhe. Particularly noteworthy is the performance of Milan Lazarevic, who shone with 26 points against Karlsruhe. In a heated final, Tübingen lost their strength against Crailsheim, but Niklas Rösch and his teammates were able to set the decisive final point.
Preparing for the next challenge
The next steps have already been decided: On June 28th and 29th, 2025, the Young Tigers will take part in the qualification tournament in Crailsheim. Here the team will compete against DBV Charlottenburg/Tigers Berlin and DJK Sportbund Munich. Only two of the three teams qualify for the final day the following Sunday. In the current qualifying round of the NBBL, however, things were anything but smooth for the Young Tigers. With four defeats from four games, the team and its fans suffered a setback, which resulted in them being eliminated from the NBBL qualification.
