Möhringen gives away victory: the own goal costs the derby against Königsfeld!
In an exciting derby, FV Möhringen had to take a bitter defeat against Königsfeld on October 7, 2025. After a promising start, the Möhringer lost 2: 4 at the end. Coach Sheriff Bah had high expectations before the game, since the team arrived against Neustadt after a convincing 3-1 win to collect points away and possibly start a winning streak. But reality looked different.
The match started promising for Königsfeld when Nico Kroh scored the first goal in the 18th minute. But the Möhringer could not be discouraged. Marcel Schilling made the equalizer in the 24th minute and Maximilian Bell even gave his team in the lead in the 38th minute. Shortly before half -time, however, Möhringen suffered a setback: an own goal took the lead and brought the score to 2: 2.
A mixed performance
The coaches and players were optimistic at half time because the team had implemented the training content well. Sheriff Bah praised the first half and the opportunities developed that created a positive mood. But in the second half, the performance of the Möhringer decreased, which turned out to be fatal.
In the 68th minute, Königsfeld again managed the lead through Alieu Sarr. Just ten minutes later, Sandro Jock crowned the victory for the home team with the 4-2. While Königsfeld remains in the top group, this defeat for FV Möhringen means another setback in the lower half of the table.
