The basketball community in Cologne can look forward to exciting months! Veolia Towers have put tickets on sale for their upcoming home games in the easyCredit BBL and BKT EuroCup. You shouldn't miss this opportunity, because Cologne is about to face some interesting opponents. On January 18th, 2026 we will face ratiopharm Ulm, followed by a duel against Umana Reyer Venice on January 21st. Just a few days later, on January 28th, Slask Wroclaw awaits, and the game against NINERS Chemnitz will conclude on January 31st.
Ticket prices start at a reasonable 8.50 euros for the games against Ulm and Chemnitz, while the games against Venice and Wroclaw start at 10 euros. What's particularly great is that schoolchildren, trainees, students and severely disabled people can hope for discounts, and little ones under the age of six get free entry even if they don't have their own seat.
A festival of basketball
But the Veolia Towers are not the only ones appearing on the European stage. A total of ten easyCredit BBL clubs are represented in the European competitions for the 2025/2026 season. This means excitement and great games for the fans, because the German teams are spread across different formats such as the EuroLeague, the BKT EuroCup and the Basketball Champions League. It is particularly worth mentioning that Veolia Towers Hamburg will also compete in the BKT EuroCup this season.
- EuroLeague: 1 Club (FC Bayern München Basketball)
- BKT EuroCup: 3 Clubs (ratiopharm Ulm, NINERS Chemnitz, Veolia Towers Hamburg)
- Basketball Champions League: 3 Clubs (MLP Academics Heidelberg, Fitness First Würzburg Baskets, ALBA BERLIN)
- FIBA Europe Cup: 3 Clubs (Basketball Löwen Braunschweig, ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES, RASTA Vechta)
There have been many exciting moments in the history of European basketball, starting with the first European Cups, which were founded by FIBA in 1958. At that time, 23 national champions competed for the title, and a lot has happened since then. The German teams have been quite successful in the past: ALBA BERLIN won the Korac Cup in 1995 and was therefore the first German European Cup winner.
A look into the future
The Veolia Towers, with their fresh team and tireless fighting spirit, are about to make a respectable name for themselves in the European basketball scene. The current schedule promises a lot of action and the opportunity to experience the Cologne basketball scene up close.
