SSV Ulm in the training camp: preparation for the 3rd league in Mals!

The footballers of SSV Ulm 1846 are currently guests in the wonderful holiday region of Reschensee in Mals, where they hold their summer training camp from July 5th to 12th, 2025. The third division team from Baden-Württemberg, also known as "the Spatzen", uses this intensive preparation phase to optimally adjust to the upcoming season in the 3rd division. The team is accommodated in Bio-Hotel Panorama that is picturesque between the South Tyrolean mountains.

A highlight of the previous training days was an exciting football tennis tournament on July 10 that brought together nine teams. In the final, the players of the Kölle team - including Chessa and Boller - prevailed against the group around Castelle and Aksakal. This was not only an entertaining event, but also a good opportunity to strengthen team spirit. In the afternoon, Rafting was on the program on the program, which provided the necessary adrenaline thickness.

training intensity and tactics

The first days of the training camp were of great intensity. On July 9th, the players went through an 11 against 11 training session, followed by tactical discussions and different team constellations. There were already close game situations on the morning of July 6th, and coaches Robert Lechleiter and Jan Boller emphasized the importance of a quick passing game. Athletic training is also not neglected to optimally prepare the players for the physical challenges of the new season.

Another interesting aspect of the training camp is the return of Lukas Mazagg, a 25-year-old central defender from Glurns who wears his number 27. He and many other players want to develop a good feeling for the upcoming challenges with the team. In addition, there are numerous fans and partners on site who can watch the training and exchange ideas with the players.

A very special event is on July 11th: At 6 p.m., SSV Ulm will meet FC Obermais in the test game, which recently rose to series D. With Titian Stecher, Alexander Gander and Marco Paulmichl, three players from Vinschgau are in the Squad of FC Obermais. This encounter promises not only for the Ulm, but also for domestic football fans.

The preparation in Mals is organized by the sports club Mals under President Helmut Thurner, in close cooperation with the municipality of Mals and the holiday region Reschensee. This ensures that everything is optimally prepared for the team to start the new season after the training camp.
