Strengthening families: Free online lectures in the Aichach-Friedberg district
Mastering life's challenges together - this is the motto of the free online lecture series from the family support centers in the Aichach-Friedberg district, which starts next October. How lra-aic-fdb.de reports, the offer is aimed at parents, caregivers, specialists, grandparents, patchwork families and carers. The title “When the world is upside down – mastering challenges together” covers a wide range of topics that support families in times of crisis.
Allow yourself to be strengthened by crises
The series begins on October 7, 2025 with the lecture “Going through crises strong together,” presented by the alternative psychotherapy practitioner Cécile Franz. This discusses how stressful topics such as war and price increases can be addressed and how important it is to promote children's resilience. The workshop by Dipl.-Psych. will follow on October 21st. Susanne Liebe-Pendleton, who deals with the emotional support of children of separation. Special attention is also paid to children's communication with the lecture “How do I tell my child?” with Helga Schröck on November 18th.
But not only critical topics find space here, appreciation in everyday family life is also discussed in a reading format. Heidemarie Brosche, author, will give her lecture “And yet I always love you” on December 2nd. The lectures not only offer technical impulses, but also space for questions and the exchange of experiences.
Variety of offers at the Aichach family base
But that's not all that the Aichach family base has to offer. The café for everyone, which is open every Tuesday and Wednesday, invites the family to spend time in good company. Children are also catered for here, while adults can enjoy coffee and cake. caritas-aichach-friedberg.de also runs a baby and breastfeeding café, which enables young mothers to exchange ideas and receive support.
The Aichach women's network - Club Therese meets every two months and the next time will be on September 24th, 2025. Those interested can also find out more about China at the “Experience countries up close” event on October 20th, 2025 at 7 p.m. For families who have lost a star child, there are regular meetings that offer space for creative activities and discussions.
Offers of help and advice
Support and advice are particularly important in crises. The parent hotline, created by the association Number Against Kummer e.V., offers parents support via a free hotline from Monday to Friday. Online platforms such as the German Red Cross Parents Campus also provide valuable information for young parents, while the DAJEB online advisor is used to find nearby advice centers. With around 14,700 registered offers, there are many ways to find support.
Overall, the measures taken by family support centers, advice centers and online offerings aim to strengthen families in everyday life and overcome crises together. Regardless of origin and family type, this help is available to everyone.
