Free dance workshops in Amberg: Move with Nadine Gerspacher!

Things are about to get exciting for all dance enthusiasts in Amberg! Free dance and dance theater workshops with the well-known choreographer Nadine Gerspacher will take place on October 31st and November 2nd, 2025. The events aim to inspire and introduce children aged 7 to 12 and adults aged 16 and over to the world of contemporary dance. The Upper Palatinate Echo reports that the workshops take place in two spacious locations: the Amberg City Theater and the Wallmenichhaus at Destouchesstraße 10.

The workshops for children are scheduled for October 31st from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the city theater and on November 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Wallmenichhaus. Adults and young people aged 16 and over are offered the opportunity to take part in the city theater on October 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or in the Wallmenichhaus on November 2nd from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. No previous knowledge is required – everyone is welcome!

Invitation to creative movement

The workshop for young people and adults is from Amberg City Theater guided and offers a special opportunity to explore your own body language in a welcoming environment. The aim is to exceed personal boundaries and strengthen body awareness. Gespacher will introduce various movement and breathing techniques that promote balance and stability. Participants can look forward to floor work, creative games and technical combinations.

In order to activate and anchor the full potential of one's own freedom of movement, participants can also expect partner work, improvisational elements and theatrical tasks. Another plus point: The workshops are completely free, and you can easily register by sending an email to stadttheater@amberg.de. Participants should arrive in comfortable training clothing as there are no changing facilities available.

A contribution to promoting dance and culture

The initiative is supported by the Tanzland program of the Federal Cultural Foundation and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media. This funding shows once again how important cultural education and the promotion of art and creativity is for younger generations.
