There is reason to be happy in Amberg: The Kurfürstenbad will reopen its doors for all water lovers on October 1, 2025. After extensive renovation work, which has now been completed on schedule, the city is expecting a modern swimming pool that will feature a fresh tiled ambience and newly arranged plantings. Managing director Frank Backowies is enthusiastic about the upcoming reopening and is looking forward to many enthusiastic visitors.

The urgently needed one Tile renovation in the swimmer area has been successfully completed. Stadtwerke Amberg Bäder und Park GmbH has placed particular emphasis on regionality and has awarded many services to local companies, which not only benefits the economy in the region, but also contributes to creating a welcoming atmosphere.

New ambience for visitors

The plants adapted and repositioned during the renovation were designed by the Amberg city gardening company. These measures are intended to create a feel-good atmosphere and make the stay as pleasant as possible for all guests. The Aqua-Fit hall will also be available again from October 1st, so that fitness enthusiasts can continue their program as usual.

The investment amount for the entire renovation work amounts to around400,000 euros. The return to the usual entry times and prices as well as regular school and club sports underline the goal of getting the facility fully operational again as quickly as possible.
