Technology leader and tradition: Amberg promotes the energy transition!

Today in Amberg: Two prominent political guests have set out to visit two very different but equally fascinating companies. The state parliament member Bernhard Heinisch from the Free Voters and State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt have set an example - it's about innovation, sustainability and the entrepreneurial spirit in the Upper Palatinate. So there really is something going on!

The first stop took the duo to Hardy Barth GmbH in Schwend. What began as a one-man business in 1997 has now blossomed into a real model company in the energy industry. Specializing in photovoltaic systems, battery storage systems and intelligent IT solutions, MdL Heinisch describes Hardy Barth GmbH as a technology leader that is actively involved in the energy transition. “The innovative spirit of this company is admirable,” says Gotthardt. Not only is work done here, the future is shaped here!

Value creation in focus

After the exciting visit to Schwend we went to Lüdecke GmbH in Amberg. The traditional family business is known for the invention of the claw clutch and is at the forefront worldwide when it comes to innovative clutch systems. The partnership with Hardy Barth GmbH impressively shows how industrial skills and ecological responsibility can go hand in hand. The focus here is on the rapid adaptation of a sustainable energy management system.

Heinisch emphasizes that the connection between these two companies is not only an example of technological advances, but also of regional value creation. The importance of the energy transition is currently shining in a new light. This not only offers development opportunities to rural regions, but also to our community in Upper Palatinate. What matters is the networking of companies and communities.

The findings from current studies show how this works. One of the central themes is this Resident participation in renewable energies. The expansion of wind turbines and photovoltaic systems can not only bring new income for municipal coffers, but also improve public services. This means entire communities can benefit and develop.

From theory to practice

The sustainable value creation is a crucial keyword. Municipalities can generate additional tax revenue through decentralized energy, which flows into infrastructure investments and the promotion of social projects. This can not only strengthen purchasing power in the region, but also create thousands of jobs and establish a new value chain. This is not an empty promise, but a reality that is also tangible in Amberg.

In order to continue to be at the forefront not only in innovations but also in value creation in the future, an active exchange is needed and the entire population needs to be brought on board. Because one thing is clear: together we do good business and not only secure the economic future, but also the quality of life in the region.
