Traffic chaos in Dinkelsbühl: 45,000 fans expected at Summer Breeze!

There is currently a festival atmosphere in Dinkelsbühl! The popular SUMMER BREEZE Open Air will take place from August 12th to 17th, 2025 and more than 45,000 visitors are expected. On these days, the city becomes a place of pilgrimage for music lovers who can look forward to a varied line-up. In the meantime, however, a comprehensive traffic change is imminent that residents and festival visitors must take into account. Loud Fränkischer.de State road 2218 between Dinkelsbühl and Wittelshofen will be completely closed from August 11th.

The closure means that only residents, residents and festival visitors are allowed to drive through the closed state highway. Road users should prepare for increased traffic volumes in Dinkelsbühl and the surrounding towns of Wilburgstetten, Wittelshofen and Wassertrüdingen. In order to make the journey easier for those arriving, two main routes have been established. The first leads from the A6 motorway via the Ansbach junction in the direction of Wassertrüdingen to Wittelshofen and Wilburgstetten. Anyone arriving from the A7 motorway should drive via Ellwangen, Tannhausen and Rühlingstetten.

Traffic control measures

The police will monitor compliance with the traffic bans, particularly in Illenschwang and Sinbronn. Visitors are asked to avoid the festival area as far as possible and to allow sufficient time for their journey. If you have a good hand, you might even be able to use public transport to avoid traffic jams and parking worries.

Considering the great music and lively atmosphere that the SUMMER BREEZE Festival brings, it's well worth the effort. The event not only attracts local visitors, but also music lovers from all over Germany and beyond. A great opportunity to make new friends and share the joy of music.

A look outside the box

Speaking of events: While the music is playing in Dinkelsbühl, there is also a lot going on in the world of entertainment. There was a recent amusing appearance in Washington DC by Seth Meyers, who responded to Donald Trump's stories while he was serving as the new chairman of the Kennedy Center. Meyers called Trump's statements a "fake conversation" and didn't miss the chance to give his own humorous interpretation of the situation. The host of the “Late Night” show also included a fictitious honor with a “Kennedy Center Lifetime Achievement Nobel Prize EGOT Award For Most Everything” from Trump in his comments. Here it becomes clear that humor has its place even in high culture and entertains the audience with a wink that is by no means unfunny ( Huffpost reports ).

In summary, both the SUMMER BREEZE Open Air and the events worldwide offer numerous positive opportunities for regional developments and cultural exchange. All you have to do is weave through the traffic in time and then you can have a great time with friends and family!
