Today, July 11, 2025, there is a lot to experience in Aschaffenburg! The city is well-filled with exciting events and a varied cultural program that has something to offer for every taste. From concerts to markets to special celebrations - it's never boring here!

The popular summer festival “Aschaffenburg until Midnight” is currently taking place, where the city center offers culture and shopping opportunities until late into the night. The Schöntal concert series, which began at the beginning of May and runs until the end of July, is also very popular. Various music clubs and wind orchestras perform in the open-air stage at the Schöntal ruins and provide contemplation outdoors on Sundays from 10:30 a.m.

Cultural highlights and markets

For art lovers, the Jesuitenkirche art gallery is currently offering the show "Where from? - Where to? Art in Aschaffenburg 1945-1976", which opens today at 10:00 a.m. You can also view unforgettable art in the castle museum and the Pompejanum, a replica of a Pompeian home.

Another highlight are the weekly markets that take place every Wednesday and Saturday. New items will be available from April 12th to 15th, when the spring market opens its doors, or from November 22nd to December 22nd - when the city will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland with the traditional Christmas market.

Speaking of festivals: The Aschaffenburg Bachtage event attracts numerous visitors with exciting concerts and lectures until the end of July. The Kippenburg Festival also has a cheerful atmosphere under chestnut trees and is celebrated until July 21st.

On July 12th, families have the opportunity to enjoy an entertaining program with live music and a salsa taster course at the “Nilkheim Summer Festival” from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. With various performances and festivities, this event is a real highlight for young and old.

Sporting activities and charity events

Those interested in sports will get their money's worth at the GMC42, the German MMA Championship, on April 26th and the city run, which takes place on May 16th. A sailing day with workshops and fellow sailors is also on the program on July 12th. Both physical and spiritual well-being are taken care of here!

Not to be forgotten: The saxophonist Günter Kolb, who is giving a benefit concert on July 12th called “A Cow for Ghana” to draw attention to the situation in Ghana.
