Palm trees, sandy beaches and the adventure of studying – Veit Klement left Viktoria Aschaffenburg and headed to the USA to study at Palm Beach Atlantic University. In addition to studying, his goal is to also play for the soccer team, the “PBA Sailfish”. Klement's official farewell took place at the home game against FC Memmingen, where he had previously made important appearances in the regional league. This season he has already started three games - including against SpVgg Bayreuth and Fürth II, a clear demonstration of his valuable role in the team.

Viktoria Aschaffenburg now has to do without her creative head. Klement had already announced in June that he would follow his sporting footsteps across the Atlantic. Whether he will return after his studies, at least during the semester break, is still unclear.

Just two days after Klement's farewell, on September 15, 2023, Viktoria celebrated a narrow 1-0 win against SV Schalding-Heining. Viktoria is currently facing a challenging season in the Regionalliga Bayern, with some unfortunate games and the aim of increasing spectator numbers at the Stadion am Schönbusch.

The last game ended on August 23rd with another home appearance where Viktoria has the chance to stabilize their season. Before the next match on August 29th against SpVgg Ansbach, the fans are hoping for a return to success - even if the departure of Veit Klement leaves a void.
